Project

Inner-city construction

Ilips played an indispensable role in coordinating the inner-city construction project. With its tight planning of both horizontal and vertical transport, including intensive use of the crane, the project was carried out successfully and efficiently.

The project

The renovation project was carried out in a crowded city centre. Due to the small construction site, the logistical challenge was considerable, but with the help of ilips, all construction activities were carefully planned and coordinated. Despite the lower number of transport movements, ilips made it possible to use the crane optimally and maintain the tight schedule of horizontal and vertical transport movements.

In short

The project was carried out in a busy city centre with a limited construction site, which made logistics complex. Ilips provided accurate planning and coordination of both horizontal and vertical transport, allowing the crane to be used optimally despite the lower number of transport movements. Tight planning and efficient streamlining of all transport movements allowed the limited space to be utilised to the full. This prevented congestion and ensured progress, allowing daily activities to continue undisturbed and resulting in a sustainable, efficient transformation of the building.

The challenge

The limited space of the construction site and the need to accurately plan both horizontal and vertical transport made this project particularly complex. The small size of the construction site offered little room for manoeuvre, which made logistical coordination difficult. Despite the lower number of transport movements compared to other projects, the intensive use of the crane was crucial for the execution of the work. This required extremely precise coordination of the various transport movements to avoid congestion or delays. Carefully coordinating all transport was essential to ensure smooth project progress and efficient execution of construction activities.

The solution

Tight planning of transport: ilips provided detailed coordination of both horizontal and vertical transport. By using the crane intensively and carefully planning when which movements took place, we were able to make the best use of the limited space.

Logistics streamlining: the implementation of ilips made it possible to accurately plan all transport movements. Suppliers and site managers knew exactly when things would get busy, allowing conflicting schedules to be avoided and keeping everything streamlined.

Continuity of operations: precise planning and coordination by ilips allowed daily activities to continue uninterrupted. This allowed the team to fully focus on the renovation work, without any interruptions.

Ilips’ efficient solutions were essential to the success of this project. Optimal planning of both horizontal and vertical transport allowed for effective management of the small construction site, resulting in a sustainable and efficient transformation of the building.
